Jesus The Redeemer

Man was under a curse that came when Adam and Eve sinned and God drove them from the Garden of Eden. Living under the curse, man found it was a hard life. He didn't have anything near the quality of life he once enjoyed in the Garden. Jesus came to redeem us from the curse of sin, being made a curse in our stead. He made atonement; He was the sacrifice that reconciled man to God.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,
being made a curse for us: for it is written,
Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.
-Galatians 3:13

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that He might destroy the works of the devil.
-1 John 3: 8

The Bible declares that Jesus redeemed us from our sins, that healing was in atonement. All the Old Testament types of the coming Jesus-atonement included from the body as well as for the soul. Since bodily healing in types and shadows is taught throughout the Old Testament as part of the atonement, since these types and shadows prefigured the Cross, why can't we have healing, we who do not live under types and shadows but under the reality of Calvary. We have all the benefits of the Cross, but we must claim and use them.
